WWII Rosies in the Caro, Michigan Pumpkin Parade

Two of our Michigan Willow Run Chapter Rosies took a road trip to the thumb area of Michigan with Rosebu organizers Nancy Zajac, and Jeannette Gutierrez, to participate in the Caro Pumpkin Parade! While there we met Parade Marshal Betty Gorlesky, who is also a WWII Rosie the Riveter.

We met up with our friends from the Yankee Air Museum’s Rosie Drill Team, and ARRA’s Bette Kenward hosted the parade Rosies while waiting for step-off at a quaint historic house in town. Later Nancy, Jeannette, and “Rosies” Marge and Helen stopped at Frankenmuth for one of the town’s legendary chicken dinners.

It was a perfect Fall Day!
