Swing Dance and Street Party at the Belleville Museum

On Saturday, June 8, 2018 the Belleville Area Museum and Archives hosted a Swing Dance and Street Party. The event was a fundraiser for Yankee Air Museum’s Tribute Rosies, so their Drill Team could march in the national Fourth of July Parade i Washington, DC.

Organized by Museum Director Katie Dallos and Tribute Rosie Emily Sackriska Calvert, the outdoor event was fun and festive while the Museum’s new Rosie the Riveter exhibit was on display indoors.

Original Rosies came out in force to enjoy a summer afternoon “dancin’ in the streets” and to cheer on the Tribute Rosies.
